Darcie Osborn - PMA®- NPCT
I began my Pilates training in the DK Body Balancing method of Pilates at University Las Vegas Nevada under Dolly Kelepecz. Throughout the years I have continued my education in Pilates fitness and physical rehabilitation through workshops and advanced certifications with master educators such as Brent Anderson, Elizabeth Larkam, Mari Windsor, Trent McIntire and many others. During my Pilates career I have worked as a Pilates Coach for Cirque du Soleil on shows Ka, LOVE, Zumanity and more. As faculty at the College of Southern Nevada, I designed and implemented curriculum for Pilates Fitness Classes along with lecturing for the Physical Therapy Assistant program on the strategies of Pilates in the Physical Therapy environment. In 2017, I completed an advanced program to become a Master Teacher Trainer for Los Angeles based Pilates Sports Center (http://pilatessportscenter.com/) a Pilates Method Alliance approved teacher training program.
My Passion for Pilates - I have been passionate about movement from a very young age; this passion led me to understanding the optimal fitness level required for many different activities and disciplines. In my passion for the Pilates method I work to apply the Pilates principles to everyday life, activities and well-being. Whether training an athlete looking to improve their game, a patient in physical therapy rehabilitating an injury, a mom staying healthy and fit during her pregnancy, or a local Las Vegas show performer focused on remaining injury free for 10 performances a week, my goal is to design the workout best for the individual.
Focusing on Clients Needs - Each individual is different. I put each clients individual abilities and needs first whether in a class or one on one. It is my belief that a person gets what they need most out of every experience, including a Pilates workout. In an individualized session I focus on what the client needs to gain positive results and personal success. My class environment is equally mindful of the individual needs of each participant allowing the individual to get the most out of their workout every time.
The Pilates Community - I have been a member of both the Pilates Method Alliance® and The Pilates Initiative.
I am proud to be a part of an amazing group of dedicated individuals. Along with my passion for the Pilates method I also am passionate about supporting my fellow Pilates instructors and students of the Pilates community. Lesley Logan and I founded The Las Vegas Pilates Teachers Facebook Group in 2020, as a way to help support our local community of Pilates teachers. Our goal is to make the Las Vegas Pilates Teachers community a collaborative community by sharing knowledge and supporting one another.
